This is the year for the birds and here is why: The Eagles' ability to control the ball
with their run game has made them one of the top teams this year. Only a few teams had
better ball control and rushing capabilities, and in the Super Bowl the team with
the best clock management is often victorious. The Eagles' run game is so strong
due to their huge offensive line. The O-Line’s ability to open a lane is only part of
the script they must run, the other is protecting Jalen Hurts. If the Eagles O-line
does not come ready, it could be rough sailing for Hurts and it may require more
scrambling than usual. The same applies to the Chiefs ability to stop the NFL's
sack leading, elite defense, who will put pressure on an already hurting
Mahomes. If the D-line closes in on Mahomes, whose running capabilities
may be limited, the Eagles secondary will make it hard for Mahomes to
find open targets. If the Eagles do not beat themselves with careless turnovers, Hurts ability to
command the offense for the most possession will allow them walk away winning with a
final score 28-25 over the Chiefs.

Since the start of the season, I've been picking the Chiefs to win the Super Bowl. And as much as I think that Philadelphia poses the biggest threat that they've seen all year from a schematic and personnel standpoint, I believe Patrick Mahomes and Company are a team of destiny. The Eagles will be able to run the ball early and probably build a lead for Jalen Hurts. However, I can see them falling into the same trap that most Kansas City's opponents are victims of: they will move off of the run game out of the fear that they need to end the game in the third quarter with quick scores. Chris Jones and the rest of the Chiefs defensive front will then finally be able to get home. As a result, I see a modest and gradual second-half Chiefs comeback that ends with a late TD pass to who else but Travis Kelce. More than anyone, the Chiefs understand the pressure that is on them in this game in terms of legacy, and unlike two years ago in Tampa, I think they will protect Mahomes in the second half just enough to let him work that age-old Chiefs magic, winning 28-23.

Philadelphia will win the Super Bowl this weekend because of their high-powered offense. I do not believe that Patrick Mahomes has the ability to overpower the Eagles offense and defense in this circumstance. The Eagles' offensive and defensive line has dominated everyone throughout the playoffs. Unless the Chiefs have an answer to that, then I believe they do not have a chance, and will lose 34-17.
